HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training is a training technique in which you give all-out 100% effort through quick intense bursts of exercise followed by short sometimes active recovery periods HIIT gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time.
HIIT training has become a trend recently, and for good reason because it’s an effective way to train. The good news is that HIIT principles can be applied to lots of different types of exercise because they’re a modification of the basic idea of exercise, rest, repeat, which can make for some very varied classes.
What is HIIT Circuit?
HIIT Circuit training combines two popular ideas for great exercise – HIIT training and circuit classes, for a workout method that’s proven to burn fat and boost your cardio. With circuit training, you’d spend a session moving through perhaps 10 exercise stations that each involve a different workout or activate different muscle groups. With HIIT exercise, you’ll do short bursts of intense activity, such as running, that will really get the heart pumping, then rest for an extended time. HIIT Circuit combines the two for the benefits of both variety and intense training, in a session that will set the bar for hard exercise – thanks to a variety of intense station workouts with different exercises, with extended rest times between.
What do I need to bring to HIIT Circuit Sessions?
Make sure you’ve got some well-fitting trainers for any jumping or skipping and bring loose fitting clothes so you’re good for flexibility. You can definitely expect to get a sweat on so make sure to bring a towel, a change of clothes and also some water so you don’t dehydrate. And, since this is a high-intensity class, make sure to bring your determination too and you’ll be sure to reap the fitness rewards.
