Military HIIT

This class brings the old school back! Taking your fitness to new levels, this military style workout incorporates strongman exercises like farmer’s carries, tyre flips and sled pushes, mixed with the cardio work of battle ropes, sprint and drills.

What is Military HIIT?

You may have heard of HIIT, which is high-intensity interval training; it’s a way of working out where you give it your all for short bursts, then rest, then continue the cycle. You’re in for a great workout where you go full-steam repeatedly in a single session. This method lets you push your metabolism into its most-effective training zones, which helps burn fat, improves your cardio and also gets you some strength benefits as well.

What do you do in Military HIIT Classes?

In a Military HIIT Class, you can expect to do a bodyweight resistance workout with exercises such as push-ups, crunches, pulls-ups and planks. You’ll get your cardio going with burpees and sprints, and on top of that you’ll get in some mixed training and unusual moves with crawling, kettlebells and sandbags.

What do I need to bring to Military HIIT Sessions?

Bring a willingness for a hard workout, as well as the essentials: water, a towel and a change of clothes. You’ll need the water to keep hydrated, so you can give your best, and a towel and change of clothes for afterwards so you can leave as fresh as you came.

What to wear to Military HIIT Class

Wear loose-fitting clothes such as a t-shirt and jogger bottoms. You might also want to go with shorts because they tend to be less restrictive. Military HIIT classes are very dynamic and may involve sprinting or other activities where you’ll need to be light on your feet, so bring some trainers that are up to the job.
